Tips and Tricks for Mickey Donuts
- You can use various creams and glazes, coconut flakes, multicolored confectionery sprinkles, etc. for decoration.
- We put the donuts in the air fryer in two batches, but you can do it in one with a full-sized air fryer.
- You can use toothpicks to hold the donuts ear in a place. Remove the toothpick when the donuts are cool.
- You can assign the frosting and decorating project to the kids. Then, they will use their skills to make their own donuts.
- You can also make dough and frosting at home.
How to store air fryer Disney donuts correctly?
Donuts are best eaten immediately after they are cooked. Unfortunately, their dough quickly dries up, and the donuts themselves become tough. The frosting also loses its taste. If you want to reheat the donuts to make them soft again, they won’t be as tasty as fresh.
To reduce the dough’s drying rate, you can place the donuts in a plastic bag or cover them with cling film. Store baked donuts at room temperature; never refrigerate. And add frosting and sprinkles just before serving.
Can I use Chocolate icing?
Yes, you can! Take a bowl and mix these ingredients:
- half cup sugar,
- half teaspoon vanilla,
- one tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- and 1 tablespoon milk or water
Only mix these ingredients just before you need them because the icing will become harder after a few hours. And if you want to put on sprinkles, do it right away – later, they won’t stick. In addition, increase or decrease the amount of liquid depending on the consistency you want; thicker is better for these donuts.
