Chocolate covered pretzels are one of our favorite sweet and salty desserts! These Chocolate covered snowman pretzels are perfect for this holiday season!
All you need are some mini pretzel sticks, and your favorite dipping chocolate, and you can have the cutest little snowman treat!
We used white chocolate and milk chocolate in this recipe to make the colors, but feel free to mix it up a bit with the flavors. Try a coconut, or dark chocolate, and any other toppings you might like!
-1 bag of mini pretzels sticks
-1 8 oz bag of ghiradelli white chocolate melting wafers (or 1 package of Almond Bark)
-1 8oz bag of ghiradelli milk chocolate melting wafers (or 1 package of Vanilla Almond Bark)
-1 package of Wilton candy cane icing transfers
-1 tube of black cookie icing
-1 tube of orange cookie icing
-1 cookie sheet fitted with parchment paper
– Melt the white chocolate wafers using a double boiler, or microwave to melt, according to instructions.
– Group together 7 pretzel sticks for each Snowman
– Once the white chocolate is melted, dip 6 pretzel sticks 3/4 of the way into the white chocolate, and place them onto the cookie sheet right next to each other.
-Repeat steps with the remaining pretzel groups.
-Place tray into the freezer for 30 minutes.
-After they are dry, pull them out of the freezer and melt the milk chocolate
-Carefully pick up the 6 pretzels, which should now be one piece (Snowman face) and dip the remainder 1/4 part of the pretzel into the milk chocolate
-Place back onto cookie sheet and repeat steps with remaining snowman faces
-Take the 7th pretzel and dip it fully into the milk chocolate (this will be the brim of the hat)
-Using a fork, pick up the pretzel and shake the excess chocolate off
-Place the fully dipped pretzel stick where the milk chocolate and white chocolate meet on the Snowman. This will act as the base of the top hat
-Carefully peel off the icing transfer and place on the top left corner
-Using the black icing, pipe eyes and his mouth
-Using the orange icing, pipe on the nose
Let sit in the fridge for 1 hour before enjoying.
