Make Your Own Layered Brownie Cake
To make this brownie cookie dough cake, you’ll need to get your three 9-inch round cake pans ready and your oven preheated. You’ll beat the oil, vanilla, sugar, and eggs together in one bowl while whisking the flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt in another. Combine them together gradually, then add the chocolate chips.
See how easy that was? Now they go into the round cake pans and bake. Make sure you let them cool completely before you take them out of the pan, then put them onto a wire rack.
While things cool down, you can make the Funfetti frosting in your stand mixer by beating the butter and sugar until it’s creamy and fluffy. Then add the vanilla, milk, salt, and flour. Fold the chocolate chips and sprinkles in at the end.
The chocolate frosting is made much the same, by beating the ingredients until they’re smooth, fluffy, and capable of holding a peak. All that’s left to make is the ganache, which is made on the stovetop by simmering heavy whipping cream. You’ll pour that hot cream over your chocolate chips in a medium bowl and whisk until it’s smooth.
Once everything is prepared, you can build the cake. If you want to cut down on time, you can use a boxed brownie mix and prepare to frost to recreate this recipe. See all the steps below, including how to assemble this amazing brownie cookie dough cake!
