A super fun trend right now is to make your own mini donut cereal. You can eat it with or without milk, but either way, its a sweet way to eat breakfast.

The Tik-Tok trend had us thinking we needed to try this too. And its such a fun recipe to make and eat!

As always, we have simple instructions to make them, and all you need is a cake mix and the ingredients to make it, and you’re all set!

Want to add some extra fiber to this trendy cereal? Add some chia seeds!

What flavors can you make your mini donut cereal?

The best part about this recipe is that you can make them whatever cake flavor you want! Make them chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, coconut…dream big!
We went with the funfetti boxed cake mix for this one, since we wanted a bit of the fun colors and sprinkles!

Ingredients:

FOR DONUTS:

-1 boxed cake mix (we used funfetti)

-2 eggs (or egg replacer)

-1 tbsp of chia seeds (optional for more fiber)

-¼ cup of oil

-½ cup of water

-½ cup of flour

FOR ICING:

-1 cup of powdered sugar

-2-3 tbsp of water

Directions:

1. Mix all ingredients together to form a thick batter

2. Pipe the batter in donut shapes onto a parchment lined baking sheet

3. Bake at 350 for 7-10 minutes

4. Add icing sugar and water to make a thin icing

5. Let cool and drizzle with icing and add sprinkles
