HARRY POTTER UNICORN CAKE

Sharing is caring!

If you read our About page, you know we are all about simplicity! We don’t have time to learn to make incredible cakes for this year’s birthday party, but boy do we know how to fake it.

This Harry Potter Unicorn Cake is as easy as it comes…and it sure doesn’t look like it!

Harry Potter Unicorn Cake

Make this for your child’s (or husbands) Harry Potter Themed Party, and you’ll have everyone thinking you slaved away in the kitchen for hours.

The best part of this recipe, is you get to use the cake mix from the box.

We told you we’re all about ease.

This Harry Potter cake is going to be all about the decoration and the surprise inside.

So when your child begs for a Harry Potter birthday party, don’t fret…we made this Harry Potter cake, so you can to!

The secret to an awesome cake is actually not the cake…it’s the frosting. We totally believe that boxed cake mixes are pretty perfect already, so why try to mimic it with a million different ingredients when you can do it super easy.

For this recipe, you’ll need 2 boxes of cake mix. Once you cut the cake, your guests will see two different colors of each layer of cake. One maroon and one yellow…perfect Harry Potter colors.

Quick Tips:

-The recipe calls for 4 layers of cake. Yes, you can use 4 cake pans, but if you only have one 9” cake pan, save your money and just bake 3 cakes in it, one right after the other. (We’re keeping this cheap and simple, remember?)
